In a article from the BBC, figures just released shows that UK consumer book sales climbed 7% to £2.1bn last year
as people “rediscovered their love of reading” in lockdown.

Last Year – Just over 80% of book sales at £1.7 billion (up 4%) were PRINTED BOOKS…. The rest were
Digital audio books at £417million (up 37%).

Commenting on this Michael Shier, Managing Director of OPUS a major supplier of Bindings and Foiling in the UK, said “That despite all the digital devices and options available it is encouraging that people still choose and prefer to read from a physical book.”

So why would this not be the same with those important work and business documents?

“In reality it is, the quality of the cover, binding and feel creates an experience for the reader that digital just cannot provide” Michael added.
