Short run foiling is a wonderful way to add value and sales to your business.
We have a range of machines, including traditional and digital foiling – perfect for personalisation.
We are launching our latest A4 Vertical foiling machine at the Print Show.
With print demands constantly changing, creating opportunities with Short-Run Foiling and binding is a great way to add value and sales. In the past, big budgets and long print runs made foiling possible, but now, thanks to OPUS machines, you can add something unique and special to your short-run projects.
There is still thesis/dissertation binding where the student has become the customer, not the University Library. This is an exciting new opportunity for the student to consider new colours and finishes based on their personal likes.

Modern Hot foil Stamping Machine – Design
The advanced design of the press is based on a mechanism that allows pressures of up to 5 tonnes. Masterpress DEEP is strong, stable, and safe and guarantees work repeatability. The powder coating ensures resistance to corrosion, high temperatures and mechanical damage.
Programming enhancements
A microprocessor-based PID programmer is responsible for all operating parameters. The user can set the temperature, pressure, height, stamping time, counter, and the amount of foil required. In addition, the 10 most frequently used settings can be programmed. The machine’s operating status is continuously displayed for the operator.
Convenience of use
The machine includes an extendable table with with a printed millimetre scale, metal stops for accurate and repeatable setting of the material. The work table can be accurately adjusted in 12 different places under the foiling bed. Additional side tables and front table are useful when working with larger materials.
Hot foil stamping of various materials
You can hot foil stamp on covers, channels, folders, invitations, business cards, etc. The machine is designed to work with paper, cards and various hardcovers. It is also possible to work on non-standard materials, e.g., materials covered with leather or leather-like materials, but this requires individual tests and setting selection.
Foiling blocks / Fonts / Frames / Hot foil stamping foils
The maximum foiling block that can be used is 218 × 308 mm. The OPUS range includes individual foiling blocks in various sizes made specifically for the customer. Fonts are available in different formats, typefaces and languages. Frames that allow any text layout and multicoloured foils in sheets and rolls. It is also possible to combine an individual foiling block with text created from our fonts. Foils are available in a wide range of colours.
Automatic advance of hot foil stamping film
The use of foil on a roll significantly speeds up work, especially when you have a series of covers to be foiled. The well-thought-out design allows for central positioning of the most popular foils 180, 210 and 230 mm in relation to the foil block. Additionally, the digital display indicated the amount of foil that has been programmed, and a special tension mechanism ensures that it is properly stretched. This allows for economical working especially when using smaller foiling blocks.
User safety
For operator safety reasons, the machine requires two-hand operation. The Masterpress DEEP is equipped with an emergency stop and the possibility to lock the device with a key. Safety is also confirmed by the CE certificate.
Heater overhang means working on larger materials.
In comparison with Masterpress EMD, the DEEP model has a greater distance from the centre of the hot plate to the back of the machine. This allows you to work on larger materials, increasing the versatility of the machine.
